PTV3

Formed in 1981 after Throbbing Gristle split, blending experimental/ritual music with pop and psychedelia, and later helping launch the "acid house" strand of the UK scene.

Hell Is Invisible…Heaven Is Her/e marks the third incarnation of Psychic TV — the project led by counter-cultural provocateur Genesis P-Orridge, reactivated here as PTV3. Much of the album grew directly out of the road, forged over two years of relentless touring across North America and Europe.

The album was mixed by Kosta Cross and Larry Thrasher, and co-produced by Edley O'Dowd. Kosta also played bass overdubs, mellotron and sequenced drums throughout the record and credited under stage name 'ibu600'.

The record pulls in a striking cast of guests: Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs lends guitar to "In Thee Body" and "Maximum Swing," Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers adds vocals to "Maximum Swing" and "I Don't Think So," and author Douglas Rushkoff — PTV3's original keyboardist — returns to play on "Lies and Then."
