Sleevin Records
Sleevin Records was founded by British-born DJ S.I.M.O, who made his name on both sides of the Atlantic spinning and producing breakbeats. The label's debut release, Bridging the Void, launched a run of compilations and online releases distributed through digital aggregators such as Beatport and Juno.
My connection to Sleevin Records and label owner DJ SIMO dates back to the early 2010s. During this time, I was actively involved in the underground drum and bass scene, and later the breakbeat scene — a scene that grew out of the crew behind the movie Groove and continued expanding throughout the decade.
Over the years, I released multiple tracks of my own, along with remix collaborations with JFlea and engineering work for the label. Some of the tracks highlighting my work with Sleevin Records are featured here.
The Sleevin residency can regularly be caught at Monarch SF, alongside legend Lee Coombs and DJ Mancub (Chip Corwin).
